| Jason A. Miller, Scranton, died Sunday at Mercy Hospital. His former wife is Linda King.
Born John Anthony Miller in Long Island City, N.Y., son of the late John and Mary Collins Miller, he was a graduate of St. Patrick's High School, the University of Scranton, and the Catholic University of America, Washington, D.C. He was a writer, actor, director, poet and producer. In 1972, he was awarded the Pulitzer Prize for his Tony award-winning play, "That Championship Season." The same year, he was nominated for an Academy Award as best supporting actor in "The Exorcist." He won and Emmy award for his role in "Maryland" on television. In the 1980s, he returned to Scranton, where he established the Pennsylvania Summer Theater Festival. |
