The objective of the United Association Apprenticeship and Journeyman training is to provide an awareness of the history and heritage of the united Association of Plumbers and Pipefitters; instruction in the identification and use of tools; training and skills necessary for solving problems and measurement, ability to understand technical and isometric drawings; training in shielded ,metal arc welding, TIG, MIG and orbital welding; theory of the installation of mechanical systems, instruction in refrigeration HVAC, pneumatics, to prepare for service work.  In addition, the UA offers certification in backflow, installation, testing and repair, medical gas installation, OSHA 500 safety, industrial valve repair and certified welder qualification.
